It's week 2, day 9, so we've already lost 8 days of our 89 day challenge! Sixteen people participated in our mall-walk last Saturday morning and tonight is our first workshop! Not only is this week 2 of our Losin' It challenge, it is also Random Acts of Kindness Week - how will you respond?

Week 1 drawings were held last Thursday. Congratulations to our winners!

Losin' It Calendar through February 14:

Tonight, February 9, workshop, Hillary Sanwick, Exercise & Diet: Tips for Over 30, Altoona High School library, 711 7th Street W, Altoona, 6:30 p.m.

February 10 and every Tuesday night, blood pressure screening, Emergency Services Building, 1904 Spooner Ave, Altoona, 6:45 p.m.

Feb. 14 and every Saturday morning, mall walking, Oakwood Mall, meet at the food court, 8-9:00 a.m. (Happy Valentine's Day!)

"Eat Red" to discover the heart-healthy power of red fruits and vegetables. Cherries (especially tart cherries), red grapes, tomatoes, red chili peppers - all these plant-Valentines are loaded with phytonutrients our hearts, arteries and veins just love.
